New Horizons Family Center Tutoring

Afternoon tutoring and mentoring program that aids kids with homework and self image, anger management, and counseling.

The Zone

The Zone provides middle school students with somewhere safe to go after school from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. in a structured program that provides: homework assistance, fine arts activities, sports and games, academic enrichment, computer lab, field trips, personal growth.

Youth Chess Club

This program consists of casual open chess play. Participants will make new friends and strengthen their skills as they complete with other members. Beginners are welcome.

New Glendale Public Library Teen Library Card
Ask about getting a new Glendale Public Library Teen Library Card designed by Glendale High School students Min Ji Yi and Eun Jung Lee.

The new card is free and with parent permission enables you to check out DVDs, videos, and music from the Brand Library.

Glendale Youth Alliance, Inc.

Glendale Youth Alliance (GYA) is a nonprofit organization and a partnership between government, education, businesses and our community. Glendale community leaders established GYA in 1993 with a mission to provide jobs and employment preparedness training for Glendale's low-income youth ages 14-24. GYA programs are designed to build civic values in Glendale youth, provide a foundation to learn job skills and to become productive participants of the workforce. GYA operates six programs on a spectrum that provide mentored employment to youth and has provided first time employment and training to over 5,000 Glendale area youth.
